Worldchoice will unveil plans to establish its ATOL scheme for its Cruise Club members at their inaugural conference next week.
Details of the ATOL are being finalised with the consortium’s new owners TTA2007 but it is hoped the new ATOL will allow members to increase margins by up to 20% through repackaging.
Worldchoice Cruise Club manager Charlie Weller said: “Through the TTA’s ability to provide creative financial solutions, we have been able to re-think our commercial strategy for cruise.
“We are already working with certain cruise partners to trial a repackaging solution which will provide us with a real opportunity to take our place as a major distributor of cruise product.”
The Cruise Club conference will be held on Wednesday October 22 in Wansford, Cambridgeshire and it will also be used to launch a cruise marketing campaign for 2009 to more than 50 delegates.
Members of the club will receive additional point-of-sale material including three personalised mailings allowing agents to target customers with bought in mailing lists.
The event will also be attended by representatives from 15 cruiselines who will be offering training sessions while ACE business development director Andy Harmer will be making predictions for the cruise business next year.
