Freedom Travel Group consortium agents and homeworkers have been rewarded for their sales efforts at a special awards ceremony.

It is the first time the group has organised the event, which was held at the end of this year’s conference in Nottingham, and given out a set of awards based on agents’ sales performance as well as ‘champions’ voted for by members of the homeworking and consortium divisions.

Freedom Personal Travel Advisors Simon Myerson, Bev Barron and Lynda Pollitt received the top sales awards for homeworkers. In the Freedom consortium, Avista Travel scooped the top award for sales up to £2 million; C The World won for turnover up to £5 million; and World Travellers received the award for turnover of more than £8 million.

The homeworker with the biggest year on year increase in sales (set at more than £250,000) was Clarissa Edgar while for the Freedom consortium it was agency World Travellers (set at more than £1 million).

Rising Star awards for best new homeworker and best new consortium member went to Sian Barnet and Holidays By Design respectively.

The PTAs champion of the year, voted for by the homeworkers themselves, went to Pamela Boulton, while the Freedom champion, voted for by members, was Niall Douglas, of Full Circle Travel.
