Worldchoice members could be given a group ATOL to make sure they are protected when booking dynamic packages, thanks to the merger with the Travel Trust Association.
TTA managing director Simon Hargreaves said: “There is a demand from Worldchoice members that we allow them to dynamic package without risk. This could be a group ATOL and we are thrashing out the detail of this at the moment.”
Worldchoice chairman Colin Heal said financial protection was the major concern for members at the moment. He said: “Members are worried about financial protection and the merger with the TTA will allow us to come up with a solution for them. We are working on a group ATOL.”
The ATOL would also cover members of the Worldchoice Cruise Club when they dynamically package cruises. He appealed to TTA members to get involved in the club, which now has 40 members.
A handful of Worldchoice members attended a TTA conference in London today to find out what benefits they could gain from the merger. It was also an opportunity for them to meet TTA members.
