Worldchoice is offering members access to an independent business consultant who will advise agents how to ‘work smarter’ in the current trading climate.
The agents who request a visit by the business adviser will have their operating costs scrutinized to see where improvements can be made. The service is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Worldchoice, which is now part of the Travel Trust Association, is also directing its members to the Revenue & Custom’s business support unit for tax advice, particularly to discuss opportunities for delaying payment of tax, national insurance and VAT.
Worldchoice chairman Colin Heal said: “Our agents remain some of the best-performing in the industry and yet these are tough times. Particularly at a time when agents are working hard to generate bookings, secure the best returns and keep a healthy cash flow, it is all too easy to overlook where cost savings in the business can also be secured, which is where an objective expert eye can help.
“The consultant we are working with has a wealth of experience in advising businesses and can take a detached look to see how immediate improvements can be made. Even looking at how savings can be made on utility bills, technology, office supplies and more effective use of working hours can make a difference.”
