TTA and Triton remain locked in membership discussions

Discussions between the Travel Trust Association and Triton Travel Group concerning membership of the super-consortium are set to continue until well into the new year.

Triton Travel Group chairman Steven Freudmann had hoped discussions would be finalised by Christmas.

However, TTA has confirmed that negotiations between the two groups have yet to be concluded. Discussions began after the merger of TTA and Worldchoice was finalised in October last year and TTA has been tight-lipped on whether it intends to join the super-consortium.

Worldchoice remains a member of Triton alongside the Global Travel Group. The remaining founder member, Advantage Travel Centres, left the consortium in October. It has also merged its commercial operations with the Elite Travel Group.
