Growing Welsh cruise travel agency WOWcruise plans to open new outlets in London, Manchester and Scotland following the debut of a flagship Experience Centre in Cardiff.
The centre is equipped with 3D virtual reality glasses that allow customers to explore the interiors of cruise ships, and a ‘captain’s lounge’ serving champagne, beer, coffee, tea and refreshments.
During a launch event the company saw bookings increase tenfold with guests booking cruises to destinations around the world including Barbados, the US, Caribbean, Dubai and the Mediterranean.
Managing director George Johnson said: “Opening our first Experience Centre in our home town of Cardiff marks a special moment for us.
“The launch was a huge success and we’re grateful to everyone who supported us on the day, including our partners P&O, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean.
“Customers are at the heart of our business so it was great to meet regular and new customers and show them our full range of services at our Experience Centre.
“We’re proud to have one of the most knowledgeable teams in the industry and can create bespoke cruise packages to suit all tastes and budgets. We also specialise in excursions, hotel bookings, transfers and flights to provide our customers with everything they need to book their dream holiday.
“We recently appointed three new members of staff to accommodate our growth and plan to open Experience Centres in Manchester, London and Scotland over the next five years.”
