Tui holidaymakers will be able to contact reps when abroad via a new function on the operator’s mobile app.
The app will offer the ability for customer to chat directly to a Tui rep in resort or at its Palma-based service centre staffed by 220 multinational employees 24 hours a day.
“This new service means that Tui customers can speak to a trained expert when on their holidays,” the company said.
“The expert will be able to answer any question around any destination Tui travels to.
“Customers can use this service to take care of anything that may happen during their holiday or to solve any upcoming issues on the spot.
“The team speak multiple languages between them in order to be able to assist Tui customers around the world.”
Tui says the app has more than 500,000 active monthly users.
“This new added chat function supplements the already popular features of mobile check-in and access to boarding passes displayed using Wallet for iOS devices and Android,” the operator said
Tui Group west Mediterranean regional director, Ian Chapman, said: “This new chat function, facilitated by the team at our Tui service centre, makes it so simple for holidaymakers to contact us when on holiday, whether that it by call, text, email and, new for this year, the in app chat service.
“Our customers tell us that they really value our amazing reps in our destinations so by having this chat service it means that our teams in resort and the Tui service centre will be available to help our customers around that clock during their holiday.”
