In response to Anne Ward’s letter (Travel Weekly October 18), I would like to highlight our policy towards our ‘welcome home’ communication and towards travel agents.
At Magic, we are proud of the holidays we offer, in particular our reputation for quality and service. As a result we are always keen to receive as much feedback as possible from our guests.
The letter we send is intended as a genuine welcome back while being the perfect time to invite them to contact us regarding their holiday experience. It also offers the opportunity to ring for a brochure for their next holiday. All brochure requests are accompanied by a letter which clearly states ‘contact your travel agent’.
The Magic Travel Group does not operate an anti-travel agent philosophy – we do not bite the hand that feeds! Indeed, agency business has increased noticeably over the past 12 months.
We always have been and will continue to be committed to the travel trade.
