JMC will offer customers the chance to make on-line bookings by the spring after launching its own dedicated Web site.
Initially, the site will provide customers with corporate information, a snapshot of available product and an opportunity to tell JMC what they thought of their holiday.
Managing director Simon Vincent said further developments are in the pipeline.
“Over the next six months, the site will be significantly enhanced with a view to ultimately offering on-line bookings,” he said.
He insisted views expressed on the site by customers will be examined by the operator.
“It won’t pull any punches when it comes to finding out what people really want from their holiday experience,” said Vincent.
The site – which can be found at www.jmc-holidays.co.uk – can also access other group products including Neilson and Club 18-30.
Meanwhile, JMC is creating seven regional travel agents panels to forge closer links with retailers. Sales director Denis Wormwell said: “We want to ensure all levels of the retail trade are represented on our panels. It will play a vital role in further developing strong working relationships with agents.”
The panels, which will hold their first meetings in December, will be in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the northeast, northwest, Midlands, East Anglia, southwest and southeast which will include London. Agents who want to sit on one of the panels should contact JMC before November 1.
