The Travel Network Group will establish a new customer care centre for its homeworking division Independent Travel Experts by the end of the year.
Lisa Henning, group membership services director at the TTE and Worldchoice parent said the centre will be based in the group’s headquarters in Woking.
Henning said: “Over the past few months we have been working through some significant changes to our back-office and operations area within ITE which have seen us relocate the ITE Administration function based in Stoke to Woking, and in doing so create a new Customer Care Centre.
“The aim of the new Customer Care Centre is to provide an enhanced level of back office support to our Homeworkers and their customers through the employment of additional resources and longer operational hours.
“The centre will be also be able to deliver major improvements on the timings of documents to customers, through further investment into the division’s IT infrastructure and website.”
Henning said further benefits for ITE agents will come through a closer collaboration between the new centre and the group’s commercial and marketing teams.
She added: “We are continually looking at ways to improve the service we deliver to our team of valued homeworkers, and our investment in this new centre reflects our considerable business growth in recent years.
“We achieved a record sales year in 2017/18 and the team is growing all the time. We remain fully committed to building this important part of our business and have ambitious growth plans over the next five years.”
