Dame Esther Rantzen shares her best and worst holiday experiences on the second episode of the Travel Weekly podcast.
The TV veteran spoke about travelling alone for the first time after her husband died and her love of cruising and multi-generational holidays.
Dame Esther, who was presenter of hit shows That’s Life and Hearts of Gold, also talked about her illustrious career in broadcast having started out as a clerk at the BBC.
She has taken cruises with Saga and Scenic and has written travel features for national newspapers.
Dame Esther revealed her pet hates on holiday including tour guides who “don’t stop talking” and being taken to romantic places on solo holidays.
