Currency exchange platform WeSwap has appointed former Holiday Extras’ Lucy Holden as business development manager.
She will work alongside director of sales and new markets, Matt Crate, in the newly created role of business development manager and will be responsible for taking its B2B product, WeSwap Connect, to the trade.
The pair will be recruiting a team of sales account managers over the next 12 months.
Holden was business development manager at Holiday Extras for two years and started her new role this week.
London-based start-up WeSwap was set-up in 2013 and allows customers to ‘swap’ funds with each other using a global travel card and app.
Holden said: “I am thrilled to be working for a start-up. This is the first API travel money solution available so it’s a unique partner proposition. So far it has had excellent feedback and the competitive commission structure makes this a compelling offer.
“We have some big targets to hit in 2019 but despite the Brexit uncertainty I am confident that we will exceed them.”
