MSC Cruises has recruited a new head of sales for Ireland after the position was vacated last month.
Suzanne Rowe will oversee the regional sales managers in Ireland after Rebecca Kelly was poached by Princess Cruises to become senior sales manager in the country.
Rowe will report into Steve Williams, MSC’s director of sales UK & Ireland, and lead the team of RSMs, including Alana Byrne and Erica Oglesby.
Rowe comes into the role following 25 years at Irish consultancy firm Konnections.
She was also previously employed by Club Med in Paris.
Antonio Paradiso, MSC Cruises’ managing director for UK & Ireland, said: “The cruise industry in Ireland is going from strength to strength and at MSC Cruises.
“As a market leader in the country we want to lead the way in further expanding distribution by creating engaging content and campaigns that inspire consumers to choose a cruise holiday.
“Suzanne has the expertise across sales, marketing and event management to do this and I look forward to continued success in the Irish market.”
Kelly, who spent 10 years with MSC Cruises, will start with Princess on March 18.
Earlier this month, Lisa Burton joined MSC Cruises in the position of RSM Midlands territory.
Carrie Jordan Dodd will cover the south west and Wales region when she joins the line from Tui in early February.
Both Dodd and Burton will report directly into head of retail Andrea Stafford.
