Long-haul sales manager role created by Prestige Holidays

Jonathan Whiteley is joining Prestige Holidays in the newly-created role of long haul sales manager as the operator expands its reach of destinations.

He starts next month, moving from First Class Holidays where he was national sales manager.

Whiteley will work with Prestige sales director Shubhra Halliday, Canada tour operations director Denise Hunn and Australia and New Zealand portfolio manager Lorna Curry.

Chairman and managing director John Dixon said: “We’re delighted to welcome Jonathan who joins us as we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary next month.

“A consummate industry professional, with 20 years’ experience across many destinations, I’m absolutely delighted to welcome him on board in this exciting year.

“Since launching as a luxury tour operator back in 1989, focusing largely on my beloved Bermuda and destinations in and around the Med, our business has over the course of 30 years diversified hugely.

“While those initial core programmes remain crucial to the company, we’ve developed dedicated, specialist programmes to other destinations too – with Croatia, Canada and more recently Australia and New Zealand now key members of the Prestige family.

“In fact, our parallel operation to Canada now accounts for just over 20% of activity.

“Of course we all know that our success and longevity hasn’t happened by accident. It is our people who have been instrumental. They are our biggest asset and behind everything we do is a passionate specialist and Jonathan’s appointment is an extension of this policy.”
