Lisa McAuley takes non-exec role at Silver Travel Advisor

Lisa McAuley, managing director tour operations B2B at Dnata Travel Europe, has become a non-executive director at mature travellers’ review and advice website Silver Travel Advisor.

The former UK boss Silversea Cruises also held a number of senior positions at Avis Budget Group and Avis Europe.

Silver Travel Advisor managing director Debbie Marshall said: “We are delighted to have Lisa come on board with us as a non-exec director.

“It feels as though Silver Travel Advisor has come of age since its launch eight years ago.

“With well over 100,000 silver travel members and a number of high-profile awards to our name, we welcome the opportunity to work with someone of Lisa’s standing and experience as we look to take Silver Travel Advisor to the next level.

“We aim to deliver great service and value to both our ever-increasing membership and to our many travel partners, as demand from the key over-50s demographic continues to drive innovation in the industry.

“Lisa’s extensive experience and proven expertise will be a real asset to us on our journey.”

McAuley added: “Silver Travel Advisor stands out as a fast-growing player in the industry that has stayed close to its membership as well as its principles. It’s a great team with a clear vision – to bring better options, information and travel opportunities to the over-50s.

“Having a real understanding of what makes the mature traveller tick, where to engage with them and how to deliver value to them through their travel partnerships has been key to Silver Travel Advisor’s success to date.

“I look forward to working with the team, bringing my learnings from the industry to consolidate their successes and help develop new idea and initiatives in the future.”
