Accor Hotels has announced it will open two new hotels in India, the Raffles Jaipur and Raffles Udaipur.
The Raffles Udaipur is expected to open by mid-2020 and will comprise 101 lake-facing rooms on a 21-acre private island.
The Jaipur property is being built at Kukas and is anticipated to start operations in 2022. It will be a set of private residences and courtyards adjacent to a hotel complex that currently houses the Fairmont Jaipur.
Jean-Michel Cassé, chief operating officer India and South Asia, Accor said: “We are seeing increasing demand for luxury travel in India and are looking forward to expanding Accor’s globally renowned portfolio of luxury brands in this incredible country. The addition of the iconic Raffles brand signals a new era for our group.”
