Fred Olsen adds fuel surcharge

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is to introduce a fuel supplement for all new bookings from Wednesday, May 5 due to the high price of oil.

The supplement will be £3 per person per cruise night, to a maximum of £60 per person, and £1.50 per person per cruise night for third and subsequent occupants of a cabin, to a maximum of £30 per person.

The non commissionable charges will apply to all bookings made on departures featured in Fred Olsen’s 2010/11 Worldwide brochure and the 2011 Preview brochure.

The charge will be refunded to the passenger in the form of on board credit if the price of Brent crude oil falls back to £45 per barrel or below, averaged across the month prior to date of departure.
