Eurostar names Coca Cola chief as chair

The boss of Coca Cola in Europe is to become the new chair of Eurostar.

Dominique Reiniche will succeed former Caledonian Airways managing Claire Hollingsworth in the role she has held for six years following three years as a non-executive director of the high speed Channel Tunnel passenger rail service

Eurostar said Reiniche will bring a wealth of international experience and board expertise to the train operator having been CEO of the Europe Group of The Coca Cola Company and Coca Cola Enterprises/

She is chair of global bio sciences company Chr. Hansen and a non-executive director of Mondi, Paypal and Severn Trent.

Eurostar CEO Mike Cooper said: “I am delighted at the prospect of working with such an experienced, high calibre individual as Dominique.

“With her broad European outlook and deep experience of customer-facing businesses, Dominique will provide valuable insight and will complement perfectly the Eurostar culture.”

Reiniche added: “Over the last 25 years, Eurostar has transformed short-haul travel between the UK and mainland Europe and I look forward to supporting the team in driving the future growth of the company.”
