AmaWaterways has christened its third and final vessel in 2019 in front of passengers and travel agents in Lahnstein, Germany.
The 156-passenger AmaMora officially launched on July 19, just two weeks after Europe’s largest river vessel – AmaMagna – was christened and four months after AmaDouro came into service.
The line’s co-founders Rudi Schreiner and Kristin Karst joined Lahnstein mayor Adalbert Dombusch and the ship’s godmother, Libbie Rice, president of US consortium Ensemble Travel Group, at the ceremony.
AmaMora will sail seven-night cruises on the Rhine between Amsterdam and Basel during its debut season.
The ship has a sun deck, twin-balcony staterooms and its lounge area features floor-to-ceiling windows.

Schreiner said: “With multiple dining venues, a well-equipped gym with a wellness host and heated swimming pool with swim up bar, AmaMora’s design reflects sister ships AmaLea [launched in 2018] and AmaKristina [launched in 2017].”
Schreiner added that AmaMora had a unique colour scheme which differed from both its sister ships.
Guests at AmaMora’s christening last week were given a handmade wine leaf and flower pin to wear when the ceremony began.
An all-male choir sang traditional maritime songs at Stolzenfels Castle where the ceremony was held.
