Gill’s Cruise Centre opens Cardiff branch

An extended hours travel agency is being opened by Gill’s Cruise Centre today in its home city of Cardiff.

The Gill’s Holiday Centre will be open seven days a week and has been designed to personalise the booking process for local customers.

The new retail venture in Beulah Road is close to the site of the first agency opened by the family business more than 50 years ago.

The company is running a “Cruise Week” with exclusive offers and representatives from P&O Cruises in-store on June 16-23.

A prize draw to win a cruise for customers booking between June 9-30 will also be held to mark the opening of the new outlet.

Chairman Alistair Gill said: “We’ve taken on-board feedback from clients so our new travel agency will have extended opening hours – meaning people can pop in after work, as well as individual desks for more privacy during the booking process and better parking with excellent access for disabled customers.

“We are particularly excited about the new location of the premises as it is near to the site of the first ever Gill’s Cruise Centre founded by my father, Robert, in 1957”.
