Advantage Travel Centres is hoping to reach 2.5 million consumers through its joint travel promotion with Spar convenience stores.
The promotion, which has seen Advantage team up with the Catalan Tourist Board and Hoteles Catalonia to give away three four-day weekend breaks in Barcelona, will launch on June 24 and will be featured in total in 2,600 Spar outlets until it ends on August 4.
The competition will be featured every hour on Spar Live radio which is piped in to 1,228 Spar stores. The competition will also appear on Spar’s consumer website, which attracts up to 35,000 unique users per month, and will be highlighted in both Spar’s e-newsletter and in-store leaflets.
Advantage sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill said: “We are always keen to work with complementary brands, so that collaboration creates benefit for both participants.
“Advantage members will gain heightened awareness in their local area and we were happy to help provide a high-value prize that will appeal to Spar customers.”
The consortium is hoping the new promotion will act as a launch pad for deals with other shops including Harvey Nichols and Harrods.
