Co-op Travel Consortium raises over £10k for Just a Drop

Members of the Co-op Travel Consortium have raised more than £10,000 for charity Just a Drop.

The 15 skydive participants included members of the management team, agency consortium members Travel Circle, PR World Travel and Perfect Getaways, as well as staff from Constantinou Bros Hotels and Vertical Travel Group.

The team dived from 13,000ft at Skydive Langer, Nottinghamshire on four different dates.

Alison Holmes, head of Co-op Travel Consortium, said: “Raising money for Just a Drop is a huge focus for us this year and we are so proud of all brave 15. Just a Drop is a fantastic charity focused on bringing means for sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities and we will do all we can to support their fantastic work.”

Co-op Travel Consortium is aiming to raise at least £15,000 for Just a Drop, a charity which builds water tanks for schools in developing countries. The total amount raised so far by the travel group is £10,333.17.

Co-op Travel Consortium has pledged to make a difference in the communities their stores are based in, as well as support the work of Just a Drop by building water tanks at two schools – Mwambui Secondary School in Kitui County, Kenya and Nasse Primary School in the Wakiso District, Uganda.
