Freedom reassures Monster customers over holidays

The Freedom Travel Group has moved to reassure consumers their holidays booked with failed agency Monster Travel are safe.

Jane Atkins, the group’s managing director, said Freedom will now be writing to all customers advising them they are taking on the bookings, with its administrative centre in Stoke handling all holiday-booking administration, balance collection and ticket dispatch.

“Monster Travel was a managed agent of the Freedom Travel Group and under our agreement we will take over all bookings, regardless of whether they are Atol or Abta operator bookings,” she said.

“We would like to reassure customers that any payments they have made are protected and their holidays are safe.

“We are very disappointed and saddened that Monster Travel is no longer in a position to trade and we are unable to comment on the financial circumstances relating to its collapse, which are matters that will be dealt with by its owners and receiver.”

Customers should ring 01782 828620 for further information. The information line is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and between 9am and 4.45pm on Saturday.
