Social media agency Ginger Juice has appointed Katherine Starkey to the newly created role of digital marketing manager.
Starkey joins from Destinolgy where she worked for eight years, most recently as marketing manager.
She has previously held marketing and product roles for several tour operators including Al Fresco Holidays, Cresta, Virgin and Thomas Cook.
Ginger Juice said it had created the new position in response to rapid business growth during 2019.
Starkey will manage several client accounts and lead a new digital strategy consultancy service aimed at providing travel-industry specific support to help brands connect with their target audiences using social media and other digital channels.
Managing director Bruce Martin said: “I’m absolutely delighted that Katherine is joining our team. Katherine is a well-respected digital marketeer with incredible experience.
“Katherine’s appointment is a double celebration for the team as we are also celebrating being shortlisted in no less than nine marketing awards this year for our work with South African Tourism”.
Starkey said: “It’s an exciting time to join Ginger Juice. I’m looking forward to working with Bruce and the team to develop the range of services that we are able to offer travel brands to help them engage with new and existing audiences.”
