Virgin Holidays has published its first brochure dedicated solely to escorted tours in conjunction with specialist Bales Worldwide, the company it bought last year.
The Worldwide Journeys brochure covers more than 20 destinations, with Syria, Namibia and Ecuador new to the operator.
Bookings will be fulfilled by a dedicated team within Bales which will continue to sell its range of luxury escorted, tailor made holidays for independent travellers and groups to more than 50 destinations.
The Virgin programme claims to reflect a commitment to responsible travel, with tours featuring homestays, local guides and locally-run excursions designed to ensure customer visits have a positive effect on destinations and their people.
Marketing director Andrew Shelton said: “With Africa and the Far East showing such growth for us in recent years, we’re very confident that the holiday ideas and inspiring suggestions in this brochure will be well received by our customers – whether they are experienced travellers or going off the beaten track for the first time.”
The brochure will be available through Virgin Holidays’ network of retail information points within 40 Tesco, Debenhams and House of Fraser stores as well as online and as an iPad application.
