He said: “After 14 years running MMT I still love it as much as when I started and will continue in having an active role helping Mandy succeed in her new role.”
The senior management change follows the addition of two shops recently, taking the branch network to 18.
The company has also recruited a number of former Thomas Cook staff as homeworkers to join Moira Lumsden, who won ‘homeworker of the year’ at the Spaa Awards in Glasgow earlier this month.
Morgan said: “The appointment is simply a reflection of the role Mandy carries out in the business. She has been instrumental in the company’s growing success over the past few years including this year’s record performance in a very challenging environment.
“I am confident we will continue to expand and grow over the next few years under Mandy’s leadership, we have the best team of staff we have ever had across the whole business and that gives me huge confidence for the future.”
Shillito added: “I am really looking forward to my new role and excited about where we take our already very successful business.
“When you can still achieve outstanding results in the current times it gives me high hopes for the future of the business.
“My plan is to build on what we have with very large investment in e-commerce over the next few months. We have a new cutting edge website due to launch and further enhancements to our already successful cruise sites and brand new sites will also be launching over the next few months which are very exciting for the business.
“The first seven weeks of our new financial year have been nothing short of sensational, therefore I have every confidence that we will have another record breaking year for the company.”
