Aurora Expeditions appoints new business development manager

Aurora Expeditions has expanded its global team with the appointment of a business development manager.

In the newly-created role, James Turner (pictured) will be responsible for agent training and sales support.

He will be based in London.

Previously, Tuner held a variety of sales positions with ski and cruise online agency Iglu from September 2011 to August 2018, before moving to expedition cruise agency Polar Routes last year.

Director of sales for UK & Europe, Craig Upshall, said: “The appointment is a reflection of the rising trend for expedition trips to the polar regions.

Robert Halfpenny, Aurora Expeditions’ managing director, said: “For more than 27 years we’ve been driven by a pioneering spirit, and we’ve always chosen the best people to help achieve this vision both on and off the ship.

“We warmly welcome James to our team and look forward to raising the standard for expedition cruising globally, while continuing to provide the authentic, small group adventures that we are known for.”
