Caped crusaders drive hard bargain for feathered friends

WHAT’S Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson doing in the clutches of three caped crusaders, Backchat wonders?

Well, the three masked men, led by Glyn Farrell of Gray Dawes Travel, were on hand to present a cheque for £25,000 to Linda, who is a representative of the Dial ADream charity, which raises funds for underprivileged children.

Glyn and co proved they were wheelie good sports when they took part in a marathon drive fromCape Nordkapp in the far north of Norway to the most southern point in Europe, Cape Tarifa in Spain.

Their task was to complete the mammoth 3,700-mile route in the quickest time possible without breaking speed limits.

Out of 22 teams taking part in the Cape to Cape Challenge 1999, Glyn’s team came sixth and completed the journey, non-stop, in 60hrs.
