The former head of the Virgin Group’s space travel project has been confirmed as a speaker at this year’s Advantage Travel Centres conference.
Will Whitehorn, ex-president of Virgin Galactic, will give a presentation entitled Outer Space is Virgin Territory at the event in Madrid.
He will outline what he thinks the project could mean for the travel industry and the business opportunities that exist.
The former PR chief for Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson will describe the creation of the project which aims to makes the first commercial space flights by the end of next year.
Whitehorn, now chairman of Loewy Group, is to speak on May 8, the third day of the consortium’s conference in the Spanish capital.
