Malta has been added to EasyJet’s network of routes served from Belfast.
The service starts today (Tuesday), bringing the number of routes operated by the budget airline from Northern Ireland up to 20. Fares start at £25.99 one-way, including taxes.
The airline is to run two flights a week from Belfast International Airport on Tuesdays and Saturdays using 156-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.
Airport chief executive John Doran said: “Malta has always been a popular destination with local travellers.
“We are delighted that EasyJet has decided to introduce this new service, making the island easily accessible and a good-value option for holidaymakers.”
Other destinations from Belfast International are: Alicante, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bristol, Edinburgh, Faro, Gatwick, Geneva, Glasgow, Ibiza, Krakow, Liverpool, Malaga, Newcastle, Nice, Palma, Paris and Stansted. EasyJet also flies from George Best Belfast City Airport to Luton.
