TRAVEL industry personnel with up-to-date skills could earn some extra cash by lecturing during their spare time, according to Education Lecturing Services.
ELS will be looking for new part-time travel and tourism lecturers and trainers to add to its database during Travel ’99.
Client account manager Peter Steward said: “Travel is one of the areas where we need to be actively recruiting more people for the 150 Further Education colleges we deal with.”
He said ELS needs candidates with various skills including ticketing and use of computer reservations systems, which are taught on NVQ courses in travel and tourism.
“People working in the travel industry who have these sort of up-to-date skills can carry on with their jobs and have part-time work in the evening and weekends,” added Steward.
