The TTA Worldchoice travel agency consortium is to operate its first overseas conference in three years since the last Triton super-consortium event in Palma, Majorca.
The three day event will be held at the PortAventura resort in Salou, Spain, on September 23-25. The conference will not be the first joint event held since the two agency groups merged, it having run a conference in Heathrow in 2009.
Worldchoice members are expected to be more likely to attend an overseas the consortia having traditionally operated one annually. TTA has to date opted for a shorter one-day event in London, which better suited its members.
The now defunct Triton super-consortium fell apart after Advantage decided to leave and then TTA decided it did not want to join after its merger with Worldchoice.
An official announcement about the conference is expected next week, but some agent members are understood to have already been told about the event.
