Advantage creates signs and marketing assets for reopening shops

The Advantage Travel Partnership has created signs and marketing assets for its travel agency members as some prepare to reopen next week.

Non-essential retail was given the green light to welcome customers back from June 15, and Advantage said 60% of its members were hoping to open doors from Monday.

Businesses in the consortium will have access to safety equipment and guidance to help them reopen retail premises safely as the coronavirus lockdown begins to ease.

In-store signage such as door stickers, floor stickers and posters have been produced to remind and encourage clients about hygiene procedures and social distancing measures that are in place.

Digital assets for use on social media, websites and in store/office TV screensavers promoting members’ reopening to clients have also been created.

Assets are for use by both leisure and business travel agents, with options to suit different brand styles and wording to cover whether an agency is fully-opening their business or operating a closed-door policy.

Advantage has compiled a list of preferred suppliers of equipment, and negotiated discounted rates for relevant PPE that can be used in retail units and offices, such as protective screens, hand sanitiser stands and signage.

The consortium will also be sharing the latest government advice and guidance to members, to cover topics such as cleaning and hygiene processes and recommendations for spacing within offices and retail units as and when this information is updated.

Leisure director Kelly Cookes said: “We know that with government restrictions slowly lifting, our members are keen to get their businesses back up and running, whilst keeping their staff and customers safe. We have created these guidelines and assets to ensure that our members have the practical support in place so that they can reopen their retail units and offices with confidence.”
