Agents invited to take a stand for new Rank promotion

RANK Holidays is seeking to sign up 250 independent agents who will actively promote the group’s brands by giving space in their shops to new point-of-sale display stands.

The new ‘Holiday Holdalls’ will be used to highlight special offers and display Butlins, Haven, Warner and Oasis brochures.

Rank will keep the display up to date and in return for featuring the stand agents will be offered enhanced commission deals. “Initially, we are looking to sign up 250 agents but we will work with any agent who is keen to sell more UK holidays,” said Rank Holidays divisional sales director Nick Burrows.

Butlins claims its recently revamped holiday centres have so far attracted 10% more bookings than in previous years and Burrows said the increase was in spite of any bookings lost because of its new policy of refusing single-sex groups.

The multi-million-pound investment in Butlin’s and in particular the addition of all-weather pavilions means the centres will be able to remain open throughout the winter. In the past, Butlin’s centres closed from October.

Currently on sale are autumn and winter breaks from £36 per person for a three-night Halloween self-catering break. To fill availability in late summer, Butlin’s has breaks leading in at £15 per person for three nights based on four people sharing.
