The Mintridge Foundation partners with Charitable Travel

Sports charity The Mintridge Foundation has become one of Charitable Travel’s partners.

Charitable Travel, a travel agency and social enterprise, sacrifices the commission it earns and gives a free 5% donation to a charity of the customer’s choice.

Northampton-based sports charity The Mintridge Foundation has signed up as one of the charities on the agency’s list for donations.  The charity is dedicated to improving life skills in young people through sport and provides a support network using positive sporting role models.

Melissa Tilling, chief executive of Charitable Travel, said: “Like many industries, including travel, charities have unfortunately felt the wrath of Covid-19 and many have sadly seen a decline in donations.

“We are delighted to have The Mintridge Foundation now on board and added to our list of charities customers can donate to, it is a fantastic charity that really does positively change the lives of young people across the UK.”

The agency is also hosting wellness and health sessions three times a week for a £10 donation to The Mintridge Foundation. The #WeekdayWellness sessions are run by professional personal trainer and nutritional therapist, Jenny Tomei. They include full body workout classes and diet, nutrition, and wellness tips.

Mintridge sporting ambassador and Paralympian Laura Sugar has also taken part to talk about her career and give advice and British track and field athlete Marilyn Okoro is also scheduled to participate.

Alex Wallace, founder and managing director of The Mintridge Foundation, said: “This is just one of many corporate social responsibility partnerships we are part of but something I feel really passionate that more people should know about.

“Many of us book well-deserved holidays every year, but if we all look to change our booking behaviour and book a selection of our trips through Charitable Travel we are giving back and supporting others at the same time as treating ourselves.”
