Homeworkers at The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel have been sent food vouchers to put towards Christmas dinner this year.
The agency group said each agent had received a Christmas card in a gold envelope, containing a £50 Co-op Food voucher to thank them for their hard work during “the most challenging year the travel industry has faced”.
Industry charity Abta LifeLine has also been sent 20 £50 vouchers to distribute among those in the industry who need a helping hand this Christmas.
Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel, said: “2020 has been a difficult year across the board and, like everyone in the travel industry, our Personal Travel Agents have had a tough time, financially and emotionally.
“Teaming up with our colleagues in the Co-op Food division to gift each PTA with a voucher to buy their Christmas dinner was our way of sending the homeworkers a big Co-op hug to say thank you.”

Whittle added: “This year, more than any other, has demonstrated the value of being part of a diverse co-operative society, with divisions that span multiple industry sectors.
“Whilst our homeworkers run their own travel businesses, they are never alone. They have the unwavering support and backing of the wider Midcounties Co-operative and the security that provides, during these challenging times in travel.”
