Gold Medal has seen sales for travel in 2022 triple in the past four weeks.
The trade-only operator said bookings have been increasing week-by-week.
The majority of departures, about 70%, are for first quarter of 2022, although it also reported an increase in sales for travel during peak school holiday dates in May and October half terms as well as summer.
Top destinations for the operator – which put its 2022 programme on sale in May last year – include Florida, the Maldives, Australia, Barbados and New York.
Gold Medal said it was also seeing increased demand for destinations that wouldn’t have previously booked as far out – including New Zealand, Hong Kong, Bali, Mauritius and the Dominican Republic.
One ‘offer of the day’ last week, with a limited number of seats to Orlando, sold out in six hours.
The operator said it has more offers and departures on sale that it usually would 12 months out to support its agent partners during the 2021 Covid-hit peaks, and said it has been more proactive of its promotion of them to agents through social media and email.
Nick Hughes, sales director, tour operating B2B, at Gold Medal, said: “With advanced forward bookings now accounting for 20% of our current sales, and tripling in the last month, its clear agents are getting more customers enquiring about their options for when they feel more comfortable to travel.
“We’ve had 2022 on sale since May last year, and can even price ahead to 2023 if needed, so agents can be confident they can promote and sell holidays that far out in the knowledge that we’ll be able to help.
“We have fantastic deals and offers available, which we’re actively promoting through our social media and email communications.”
