Globus brands are reporting a “positive uptake” in 2022 holiday bookings with the Covid-19 vaccination roll out underway and optimism for future travel growing.
Escorted tour specialist Cosmos and sister cruise brand Avalon Waterways claim a 1,500% increase in bookings, with growth most evident in the last four weeks.
Popular destinations for escorted tours include North America, Ireland and Israel.
A ten-day ‘Dixieland and Rhythms’ tour taking in Chicago, Nashville, Memphis and St Louis is one of the top sellers for 2022.
An 8-day Rhine sailing from Basel to Amsterdam is one of the most sought-after Avalon Waterways itineraries for next year.
Alongside growth for next year, the brands are seeing a boost for 2021 following the launch of tour and cruise discounts plus an air credit offer.
Travellers can save up to £772 on tours, plus £300 air credit towards the cost of their flights.
Avalon Waterways customers can save up to £1,700 per couple on their cruise, with £300 air credit towards flights.
Sales and marketing director Janet Parton said: “With the vaccination programme underway we are seeing customer confidence and propensity to book returning, especially for 2022 holidays.
“We’re seeing great support from our trade partners and our trade booking share has increased to over 70%. As a thank you, we are rewarding all bookings with an incentive of £20 on touring and £30 on cruise for all bookings made during January and February.
“Our ‘Peace of Mind’ plan allows guests to book knowing our holidays are flexible and their money is safe. We’re striving to make travelling as stress free and safe as possible and that shows in the positive booking numbers over the last few weeks.”
