Sydney flight ad banned by ASA

An advert for London to Sydney from £594 has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority.

The advertising watchdog upheld a compliant against Polani Travel for the advert on the www.comefli.com website.

It rejected claims from the company that it had no records of the Heathrow to Sydney fare being advertised on the site after a complainant produced a screenshot of the ad.

The ASA said: “We told the advertisers to ensure they held documentary evidence to show that flights were available at the quoted fare in future.”
