Hypermarket’s staff join for good reason

I read with interest your article on St Andrew’s Travel, Bolton and the suggestion of Holiday Hypermarkets ‘poaching’ agency staff (Travel Weekly August 23).

I have to say it is no surprise to us that staff should choose to leave other agencies to join what is a dynamic organisation where working conditions are second to none.

Holiday Hypermarkets employs almost 650 staff, all of whom are able to benefit from our excellent working conditions. We shall be looking to recruit more as we roll out another seven stores in the UKby the end of 1999.

As your article suggests, we can offer above average wages. Sales consultants are able to earn up to £20,000 per year.

This is combined with staff incentive schemes, including commission of up to £10 per passenger placed and the presentation of a new car twice a year for the best sales performance.

But people love to work for Holiday Hypermarkets for a whole variety of reasons.

The working environment is pleasant – air conditioned, spacious and fun. Staff enjoy well-equipped staff rooms and have access to free car parking.

There is the fact that all sales staff are able to concentrate on selling holidays, because duties such as answering the telephone are handled by dedicated customer service centres. This brings out the best in our sales teams.

Anyone interested in a career with us should call 0800 3895048.
