Aer Lingus sees short-haul drop but long-haul numbers rise

A drop in short-haul carryings by Aer Lingus last month were balanced by a rise in long-haul passengers.

Total carryings, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, increased by 1.7% to 1,019,000 in September against the same month last year.

Short-haul passenger numbers dropped by 1.4% to 829,000 while long-haul figures were up by 4.3% to 97,000.

Aer Lingus Regional’s passenger numbers rose by 36% to 93,000.
