Fourth Brit Balearics balcony death this year

A sixth British holidaymaker has been killed this year in a fall from a hotel in the Balearic islands.

Paul Clough died in hospital from his injuries after falling from the balcony of his third floor room in the resort of Ciutadella in Menorca.

Police on the island are investigating his death but a senior officer told the Mail on Sunday: “All the indications are that this was a tragic accident.”

Four British holidaymakers have died this year in Magaluf, Majorca while another died in St Antonio in Ibiza.

A total of 12 people have been killed in plunges from hotels in the Balearics this year.

Police reportedly said many of the victims were attempting to climb from one balcony to another while under the influence of drink or drugs.
