The Visit Brazil Travel Association has launched a new online training course to help agents capitalise on the country’s upcoming role as host nation for the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics.
VBRATA has also released a new online brochure at World Travel Market, and announced the state of Minas Gerais, in the south-east, as Destination of the Year for 2012/13.
Partnership executive Chris Fuzinatto said: “Brazil has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to maximise tourism in the lead-up to, during and after the forthcoming World Cup and Olympics. We recognise the value that travel agents can bring and are keen to work with them to ensure they are aware of the breadth and diversity of sales opportunities in our country.”
Training includes information on the states of Pernambuco and Minas Gerais, plus tips on selling less-visited regions outside Rio de Janeiro.
