Shearings to launch biggest ever campaign

Shearings Holidays is launching its biggest ever TV, online and press campaign in January.

The peak season campaign is the first one to include national TV advertising, promoting early bookings incentives and encouraging consumers to book through agents. Agents will also be incentivised to sell with an iPad mini giveaway.

The 30 second TV advertisement, featuring UK and European coach, air and river cruise holidays, will air in selected ITV1 regions and on ITV3 nationwide throughout January 2013.

Shearings commercial director Caroline Brown said: “A limited test run of TV advertising in the late summer secured a rise in bookings through agents, so we have high expectations for January.”

She added: “We’re constantly reviewing what we do to ensure we meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. We’re confident that our peaks campaign arms agents with the right incentives and insights to secure significant bookings in this crucial period.”

The campaign will also feature joint marketing with agents including Thomas Cook, Barrhead Travel and Midcounties Co-op.

Shearings will be giving away two iPad minis every week in January and February 2013. Agents will automatically be entered into a prize draw for each Shearings booking they make during this period.
