n Lucayan property development continues



Work is progressing on the 1,350-room Lucayan on Grand Bahama. New facilities include three hotel wings, three pools with waterslides and landscaped gardens, a kids’ camp, 40,000sq ft of indoor meeting space, a spa andfitness centre, and two 18-hole championship golf courses. The island has also seen the development of a luxurious new residential resort area, Old Bahama Bay.



n revamp for british colonial hilton



The British Colonial Hilton in Nassau is expected to reopen in September after a $22m refit. The upgrade adds adedicated business level, with 46 rooms fitted withoversized desks. The property, used as the setting for James Bond film Never Say Never Again, has a private beach,fitness centre, tropical gardens and on-site scuba diving and snorkelling.
