Three out of four travel agents failed to receive any increase in their salary this year, according to a new poll.
Of 224 frontline travel agents who completed the daily poll for Travel Weekly’s sister website gazetteers.com, just 14 had received an annual pay rise higher than the rate of inflation at 3%.
A further 21 (9%) said their last annual salary increase had been 2%, while 22 (10%) had received a 1% rise.
But an overwhelming 75% of respondents said they had received no increase at all at their latest salary review.
