CARLSON Wagonlit Travel has been appointed preferred travel management supplier to oil and energy giant BPAmoco.
The business travel agency will handle BP Amoco’s worldwide travel requirements which amount to an annual travel spend of $400m.
Carlson Wagonlit took over the account in the US last month and will roll out the service to the UK and the rest of the world by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Carlson Wagonlit has become the first business travel agency to sign up to Galileo UK’s back-office systems interface for rail distribution.
The system, called National Vendor Machineable Interface Record allows agents to receive a real-time set of accounting and management information for rail-sector revenues.
It links up to Galileo’s rail-booking product, RailMaster, and automatically transfers booking information into the travel agent’s in-house back-office system, eliminating the need for rekeying data into the system.
