Travel Network Group strikes Cruisingexcursions.com deal

The Travel Network Group has signed a deal to distribute trips from Cruisingexcursions.com.

The agency group’s 800 members will be selling the company’s range of 5,000 shore excursions at more than 600 ports worldwide.

In recent trials, the product range of cruisingexcursions.com has proved popular with members seeing the potential to increase the level of customer service and expand the product they can offer to cruise customers.

The Travel Network Group’s commercial manager Catriona Skinner said: “We are looking forward to working with cruisingexcursions.com. We believe their wide range of products will be very popular with members, particularly their multi-port shore excursion packages.”

A 16-page ‘shore-trip’ sampler brochure has been produced for The Travel Network Group, with incentives for the booking to be made through the agent, rather than direct.

Cruisingexcursions.com business development manager Graham Chuter said: “Our research shows that like many holiday essentials, such as airport car parking, transfers and car hire, the customer is aware that it makes economic sense to pre-book and save, rather than pay high prices on the day.

“The customer is fully protected with our non-porting money back guarantee – if the ship doesn’t port then the customer receives a full refund.

“In addition, in the very unlikely event that we can’t get a passenger back on board before the ship departs, and it’s not the passengers fault, then we will transport free of charge to the next port of call.

“The Travel Network Group has predicted that our highly successful packages of excursions at four or more ports will be popular with their customers and with the average sale of these packages being £250 there is some valuable commission to be earned on each sale.”
