Thomson and First Choice are to re-launch flights from Humberside airport with a summer series to Palma next year.
The weekly flights will leave on Tuesdays at 3.30pm to serve the Tui Travel operators’ properties across Majorca.
Airport commercial director Paul Litten said: “Humberside international airport is delighted that one of the UK’s most popular holiday specialists, Thomson, has decided to return to the airport after a three year absence.
“Our customers have been asking for more services from their local airport and we know that the first route announced, Palma in Majorca, is in great demand with local holidaymakers.
“We will continue to work with Thomson to develop other opportunities in the future.”
Thomson and First Choice aviation planning director Karen Switzer said: “This new route to Palma demonstrates our commitment to the local area, and following the success of similar routes across a number of regional airports, we know that the demand is there.
“Expanding access to our portfolio of destinations and hotels is a key part of our overall strategy and we hope that this move will enhance the holiday experience for our customers.”
