Bermuda flights resuming after flood damages airport

Bermuda airport was due to re-open yesterday after Tropical Storm Fay hit the island over the weekend.

LF Wade airport was expected to resume operations for evening flights yesterday, including a delayed British Airways service from London.

However, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advised travellers to check with their airline to ensure services are running.

The airport terminal suffered major flooding and damage to the roof of the arrival area as the tropical storm struck.
